Also, if it looks like you missed the bubble, try to swim (back) into it anyway, several times I was way next to the bubble instead of inside it but I could still swim, but if I did nothing I would start falling. ![]() This doesn't work for the next one, you have to be a bit fast, but not much. I found that when the first bubble reaches its end spot, a new one will show up before the one you're in disappears so there you can take your time to look around and carefully swim into the next bubble. You can't jump up from it directly, but you can go left or right and walk up, then take the small ledge there to reach the item anyway. After a couple of falls, I made it to the tower somehow (had no idea where to go), but got down out of the bubble a bit too soon and ended up on the ledge right in front of the item. This is why this quest and the concept behind it shows Blizzard should immediately fire whoever dumb enough to come up with it.Ĭomment by Wanderer999I did it! After reading the comments here I was afraid, but decided to give it a few tries myself before deciding to skip it. mythic progression or push for Gladiator) should necessitate a latency below 300 ms. An MMORPG is supposed to be played without major issues with a network latency as high as 1000 ms, and only cutting-edge competitions (i.e. ![]() Do you know why most MMORPGs, such as WoW, introduce the concept of "Global Cooldown"? Because without it, those with faster computers and faster Internet connections will be able to cast more abilities in a given time interval. It seems that Blizzard forgot what game modes are good or bad for MMORPG. They don't even have an explicit icon to indicate I'm in the bubble, one that will allow me to track so that I can do something to fix when I leave the bubble. My latency is merely 500 ms, however, and I do almost everything just fine. And always keep your cameraman exactly to your left or right.Īs has been mentioned, it's helpful to stay right at the top of your bubble to give yourself space to adjust in case you get too far ahead or behind.Ĭomment by zhengmaiiI'm currently in China and playing my toons on US servers. And then, once on the domed-roof building, turn so you are facing WNW. So the key is to make sure your toon is facing SSE at the beginning of the quest. From there, you go straight up again (in a new bubble which will appear) and finally, you go WNW to the roof of a larger building to complete the quest. So after plummeting into the drink multiple times (at Azsuna), I finally figured out a way to eliminate one of the dimensions:ġ) watch other players in the bubbles (or a video) for a couple of minutes to understand exactly where you will be going thenĢ) once inside the first bubble, line yourself up so you are facing perfectly towards the direction you intend to go.ģ) now swing your camera around so you are viewing your toon directly from one side or the other (ie from your left or right)Ĥ) now when the bubble starts moving, all you have to manage is your up/down and forward/backward movement because any need for left/right movement was eliminated by facing in the correct direction initially.Īt Azsuna for example, from the initial bubble, you first go straight up, then after a pause, you go SSE to a point exactly above a building with a dome-shaped roof (which you can drop down to in order to reorient). ![]() The biggest challenge with these Magic of Flight World Quests is that you've got 3 dimensions to worry about against a mostly-transparent reference object (the bubble). I'll edit this comment if I find any others (I hope I do, these world quests are awesome)ĭid I make a mistake? Something to add? Also don't forget your swimming controls! I'd recommend turning your camera often to see exactly where you are positioned in the bubble and using strafe keys. Comment by ikill4cookiesThese quests require you to swim through bubbles to reach an item in an awkward spot. ![]()
